Most annelid organisms have similar circulatory system and functions. The rag worm generally has more bristles and appendages, or protruding pieces of skin. They also circulate blood exclusively through their vessels. They get oxygen through their skin from the moist soil and water. In each segment or appendage, blood flows through the a small blood vessel to ventral blood vessel, which then sends it to the dorsal blood vessel, which completes the loop.
